About the Foundation
The Barham-Calhoun Memorial Fund was established by Katie L. Calhoun in 1977.
The Foundation benefits victims of tuberculosis or heart disease as well as their families. Grants are made to health or human service organizations and not to individuals.
The majority of grants are made to organizations in Georgia.

The Trustees will consider all qualified applications received from organizations that are exempt from taxation under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3). If you are a 509 (a)(3) Supporting Organization, please be prepared to provide additional information. Grants are not made to support individuals.<
Grant Cycle and Deadline Information:
The Foundation’s Trustees meet annually in the fall. September 30 is the deadline for submitting grant proposals to be considered at the annual meeting.
The average grant size is between $5,000 – $20,000.
