For continued support to improve and expand the Stop Summer Slide Program in New York City. CFY is a national education nonprofit that helps students in low-income communities, together with their teachers and families, harness the power of digital learning to improve educational outcomes. They pursue this mission through the combination of their K-12 learning platform, PowerMyLearning, and through their on-the-ground direct service initiative, the Digital Learning Program. CFY launched the Stop Summer Slide initiative in 2013 to mitigate summer learning loss and increase student engagement in learning. The program provides interactive, Common-Core aligned math playlists of digital learning activities through PowerMyLearning for students to utilize during the summer months. They will evaluate the impact of the summer 2014 program, adapt the program model based on that they have learned, and expand the program into all five of their partner schools in 2015.
