Tosupport the salary of a new Academic Dean, an essential position as DREAM prepares to add its first class of sixth graders in 2013 while continuing to provide high-quality, data driven instruction to its growing student body. The Dean will work with school leadership to address the changing needs of its middle school students, who will require a new curriculum, expanded extra-curricular and after school options, new staff and new middle school routines that align with DREAM’s school culture but are appropriate for older adolescents. DREAM Charter School, founded in 2008 by Harlem RBI and located in East Harlem, currently serves 294 students in grades K-5 and will grow one grade each year until it reaches capacity with grades K-8 and a total of 450 students.
