To provide renewed support for the College Placement and Retention Coordinator at the Mott Haven Community High School, a transfer school for overage and under-credited students who face a range of challenges to a high school degree. The school provides academic advisement, college access services, and wrap around supportive services. Through their College Retention Services, they provide intensive support to students during the 3 critical phases of college access – acceptance, matriculation and first-year completion. Once they complete their first year of college on time, students will have stabilized their education paths and developed the skills to navigate more independently. Through their College Retention Services program, they aim to increase college persistence amongst all alumni from their various education programs, which collectively serve over 1,500 students.
