For the expansion of the Mentoring Makes a Difference program which pairs students with mentors as they enter and persist in college. Their mentor corps is comprised of adults from the business sector who represent a diversity of professions and bring the wealth of their experience to their mentees. They are matched with high school seniors and college students and work with them through challenges they may be facing and offer guidance and support. Mentoring takes place online through email communication and in person at the start of their relationship and at special events throughout the year. Their staff will provide conversation prompts to mentors, and advise them on how to work through any challenging situations that come up with their mentees. Their expectation is that through these mentoring relationships, mentees will succeed in college, graduate, and move into meaningful career paths.
