For continued support of the Youth Services Social Worker who supports young adults in their GED Plus Program. The Youth Services Social Worker works in an ongoing and supportive relationship that addresses both academic and social-emotional development, helping to keep their participants engaged and connected to the program by addressing the problems and distractions that may have derailed their previous attempts to work towards obtaining a GED. The youth also participate in the larger Teen Services offerings including employment and career counseling and placement so that when they ultimately leave the program with their GED, they will have the life-skills, self-esteem, job readiness skills, and strategies to succeed in what they choose to do next.
