To provide support for a Dean of Math and Science at KIPP NYC College Prep High School. The Dean coordinates curriculum and instructional content with the Teaching and Learning team, coaches teachers, assesses teacher and student performance, and coordinates professional development needs for Math and Science teachers. The school serves the full bell-curve of students and provides a level of differentiated instruction that will support all students in gaining a rigorous Regents Diploma. It provides students with the additional resources that low-income students need to succeed in high school and college, including counseling, college guidance, and extended school day and year. KIPP NYC is a network of eight free, open enrollment public charter schools in New York City that will grow to nine schools: four elementary schools, feeding four middle schools, feeding the KIPP NYC College Prep High School.
