Towards a challenge grant to help them expand program hours to establish Saturday programming for youth ages 6 to 18 during the school year, and summer evening programming for teens. Madison provides critical education, recreation, and guidance services to at-risk youth at 4 clubhouses in the Bronx and Brooklyn. They provide their members with the encouragement and guidance they need to achieve three priority outcomes – academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles – that will help them grow into successful, thriving adults. Saturday and summer evening programming reduces the likelihood of exposure to high-risk activities and strengthens young people’s connections to the positive peer and mentor relationships provided by the Club.
