For support of the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation position. PENCIL inspires innovation and improves student achievement by connecting business leaders and public schools. Two programs drive its mission: the PENCIL Partnership Program that works to increase student achievement by forming Partnerships between business leaders and public school principals to create sustainable change in schools’ cultures and outcomes; and the PENCIL Fellows Program which is a year-long career preparedness program for students that culminates in a six-week paid internship. The Associate Director is responsible for developing and implementing more accurate evaluative techniques and procedures, so they can identify drivers of success across each program and make appropriate changes in order to create a deeper impact upon the students. PENCIL annually serves more than 215,000 students in nearly 400 PENCIL Partnerships across all five boroughs of New York City.
