To support the building of their infrastructure by assisting with their hiring of an additional Program Manager and a new Program Director position. Reading Partners delivers one core program: data-driven, one-on-one literacy tutoring for K-5 students in Title I elementary schools using trained and supervised volunteers. Their ability to continue delivering a quality program in New York depends upon individualized school relationships and site support conducted by one additional Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of 5 school sites, and the strategic programmatic development and leadership of a new Program Director position. These positions will provide the critical organizational support that allows them to build a well trained, consistent and sustainable volunteer base, hire and train dedicated staff at each school, and perform data analysis procedures that personalize the tutoring experience to each student. Their mission is to help students become lifelong readers by providing individualized instruction that yields measurable results.
