For support of new program development and a full-time Employment Specialist for the Workforce Initiative of their Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) which serves victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking, most living in extreme poverty. The Workforce Initiative includes a 16-week cycle of career readiness, hard skills, and literacy upgrade workshops, as well as optional workshops and training. The Employment Specialist will play an integral role in fulfilling Sanctuary’s economic empowerment mission by providing job and career readiness assistance to the program clients as well as by providing follow-up, job placement and retention related activities. The primary goal is to assist EEP clients obtain and maintain living wage employment within NYC’s service sector economy.
