For continued support to enable the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, a program of SCO Family of Services, to refine and expand its Advisory Partnership with Sunset Park High School (SPHS) in Brooklyn. The Advisory Partnership is a comprehensive model of support for social and behavioral development and academic achievement that reaches across the school and into the community, providing an integrated response to student needs. This project pairs the Center’s youth development and social work staff with SPHS teachers to implement an advisory curriculum that helps youth complete high school and develop the skills needed to succeed in college, work and life. The grant will support the refinement of the 11th grade advisory curriculum and the addition of a pilot 12th grade Advisory Internship program.
