History

Lois and Richard England originally conceived of the family foundation to accomplish a variety of philanthropic goals and to encourage their children to become involved in grantmaking. All three children, along with their spouses, contributed to the founding of the Foundation. All currently serve on the Board of Directors and hope to include their own children and grandchildren as the foundation evolves. It was Lois and Dick’s sincere hope that future generations of trustees will remain committed to the integrity and goals of their original mission. The England children are very grateful to their parents for providing the wealth to fund the foundation, as well as for their inspiring examples of integrity and charitable giving.

The family is passionate about their responsibilities as philanthropists. Their energy and determination to live generously and create opportunities for others is boundless. The Foundation has retained the services of professional advisors to research, plan and assist the family with important grantmaking and general philanthropic decisions.
