These guidelines will assist your organization in applying to the Foundation. Should you have any further questions, please contact our office for assistance.
Gabriele Family Foundation will accept requests for funding from non-profit organizations meeting the criteria in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation will not accept or consider requests in the following categories:
- For-profit organizations
- Political organizations or campaigns
- Organizations with the primary purpose of influencing legislation or public litigation
- Endowments or capital funds
- Conduit organizations which pass on funds to other organizations
Gabriele Family Foundation will review applications and provide grants according to the following schedule:
- Application Deadline: September 30
- Review and Consideration: October 30
- Notice of Funding Commitment: December 15
Each request for funding will be considered individually based on the specific requirements of the project. In some situations, a Foundation representative will contact you and/or visit your organization to review your request in more detail. The Foundation will notify all applicants in writing upon completion of review and consideration.
Should you be selected for funding, you will be contacted to make appropriate arrangements to receive the funds. We anticipate that awards may range from $2,000 to $20,000. However, we will consider requests outside of this typical range where appropriate. Funds will be disbursed to recipients by the end of December.
Your request should be for specific programs or projects related to individuals or multiple recipients. The Foundation does not anticipate considering requests for overhead or general operating funds at this time. However, this may be discussed with the Foundation before submitting your proposal, and these requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you believe your organization meets these guidelines, please continue to our Application Procedures.
