We are most interested in supporting new approaches to working with young children. New organizations that do not have access to traditional philanthropic dollars are encouraged to apply, as well as established organizations proposing new projects.
We will consider projects affecting low-income young children from birth to 8 years of age and projects offering family support in the prenatal period and beyond.
Only organizations serving the residents of Alameda or Contra Costa counties are eligible. All applicants must have non-profit 501(c)(3) status or be able to affiliate with such an organization.
Grants are not ordinarily made for general operating support, loans, scholarships, support for individuals, or large capital expenditures such as development and purchase of land or buildings.
