- Education: Arts education programs for New York City public schools, focusing on classroom residencies for students and professional development for teachers.
- Community Service and Civic Engagement: In 2017, the Kornfeld Foundation added a new program area focused on improving services for immigrant and minority youth who are being marginalized in our current environment. In 2020 this category was expanded to include civic engagement grants, to respond to the increasing threats to our democracy arising from and reflecting our divided society, including, but not limited to, meaningful work on voting rights and against voter suppression.
